At the beginning of February, our volunteers, their families and Plantar Uma Árvore joined efforts and headed to Mata do Bussaco, a protected Portuguese forest in the mountains of Bussaco.

By the end of a very eventful morning, HOM planted 100 native trees. Celebrating our anniversary this way couldn’t have made more sense as the right to a safe environment is essential for human rights to be upheld. The event was followed by a picnic in the midst of nature.

This was a significant moment of connection and affirmation of our mission: getting together, giving hands, and spreading the seeds for a better future.
